When we are rushing to and from meetings and then straight from work to meet friends after work, finding time to sit down to a healthy and substantial meal can often be a difficult task! Grabbing a takeout, or munching on various snacks throughout the day can often leave us feeling unhealthy, bloated and unsatisfied but is also the easier option. There are, however, a variety of food supplements available that will work to suppress your appetite and dramatically reduce your calorie intake, which in turn will work to lower your body weight and allow you to shed any unwanted body fat.
One such healthy food increment is Hoodia; this beneficial supplement will naturally repress your appetite, allowing you to easily achieve the results you desire. This is great news for those that want to look the belle of the ball at any up and coming Christmas parties and also for those that wish to squeeze into last year’s much-loved party dress!
The Hoodia supplement makes you feel fuller for longer, meaning you will no longer desire to reach for the pre-lunch chocolate bar or that tempting afternoon snack, instead you will burn more calories, which will in turn result in sustainable weight loss.

When it comes to acne, everyone has their own opinions, treatments, and suggestions. However, there are some acne myths out there that need to be busted, or people would end up believing a lie, and that could mean an apprehensive or misguided behavior towards acne. Its time you drop those myths and know the facts.
1. Excessive Use of Medicine
Most people think that medicine could be the answer to acne, and therefore, they end up having over the counter pills excessively. This is a myth that medicines can actually deal with acne fast. Instead all it does is complicates matters more and creates more side effects. When you face acne, the first best option is to apply benzoyl peroxide or salicyclic acid on the inflammation. Again, here balance is the key. Do not excessively use benzoyl as it would cause the skin to dry up and crack. If you have to take medications, kindly do so only under the recommendation of a dermatologist.
2. Only Synthetic Makeup is Harmful
Well, that’s not a fact. Makeup of all kinds, regardless of being synthetic, natural or organic, all of it is harmful for acne and promotes acne inflammation. When you put acne, it clogs your pores and this makes the inflammation become worse. Therefore, do not apply any kind of makeup thinking they are safe, because nothing is safe.

Just about everyone has heard about laser eye surgery and many of those who wear glasses or contact lenses have probably considered having the procedure done, but do people actually know what it is and how it works? Laser eye surgery is currently the most common elective surgery there is, with hundreds of thousands of people having the procedure each year. There is a lot of terminology associated with the treatment and it can get confusing when you are initially doing your research. The following helps explain the main terms which you are likely to come across:
Lasik and Lasek: Both these are types of laser eye surgery, with Lasik being by far the most common type of procedure. Lasek (sometimes called PRK) is less popular, as the recovery period following the procedure is longer and more uncomfortable than following Lasik. Most people are able to resume normal activities (including working and driving) within 48 hours of having Lasik whereas it can take up to one week following Lasek surgery. The main difference in the 2 procedures is that a flap is created during Lasik but is not with Lasek. The flap is a thin layer of cornea (outer clear part of your eye) which is separated from the surface of your eye before the laser is applied. No flap is created during Lasek as the laser is applied to the surface of the eye.

Acne rosacea is a chronic skin disease that affects nearly a third of the face, by stamping it all over with a harsh redness and tiny severe pimples. It even causes the blood vessels of the areas to enlarge and be visible. Not only does it stop here, but there is constant irritation and itchiness that gets worse when any face wash or soap is applied. Women mostly at the age of 30 to 50 suffer from this form of acne and sad to say, it can only be treated, but not entirely cured. It may occur on and off if left untreated; it could worsen by the passing time.
Untreated acne rosacea may develop into a condition by the name of rhinophyma which causes the nose to grow and the cheeks to be become red and puffy. This acne could also lead to impaired vision, if it is not treated in due time. Simple, over the counter medications however are not the cure for this kind of acne. They instead cause even more irritation and dryness and could actually damage the already sensitive skin.

Losing weight is something that many people want to do. Everyone has their own goals when it comes to achieving a specific weight and some are able to get to this target in a healthier way than others. Shedding the pounds is usually the easy bit. There is a big difference between a quick, temporary loss of weight, and a steady, longer-term weight loss program.
Taking shortcuts when trying to lose weight can end up resulting in further health issues. Although it may be human nature for a dieter to take all available options to them in their quest to become a lower weight, most professionals would agree that it is never advisable to do so.
The following five tips are designed to help with your weight management healthily:
1. Keep a food/exercise journal.
Keeping track of the food you eat, as well as your daily exercise is a great way to stay on top of your weight loss efforts. You will be able to track your progress, and by having your results written down in black and white you are more likely to stay honest about the work you have put in. Tot up the results each week to see how many calories you have consumed compared to how many you have managed to burn. [click to continue…]
